About a month ago, some pervert guy hacked into my computer. He was closing all my windows and shutting off my comp. I didnt know what to do so.. like a little girl i told my mom and she freraked out cause she pays her bills online. So, i disconnected the modem for like 3 weeks $ one day when i turned on the Comp. a window popped up saying something about lost host, so i thought the guy was gone. And he was.... i could go on IE and AIM but certain programs and folders wont open. Everytime I try to open anything from thats not My Documents, IE, AIM, My Computer a window pops up saying "Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied." Is this something that hacker left on my computer? I cant even use some programs i just downloaded. Some help would be very much appreciated Thanks

the most important thing to do and keep up over time is getting the windows updates. Also go buy spyware blocker from Staples.

Do some online virus/trojan scans (you say IE works, right?):
Trend Micro - Free online virus Scan - Scan Now
Panda ActiveScan - Free online scanner
Allow the scanning sites to clean any infections they find. If you can then download, install, update and run Spybot Search and Destroy and AdAware they should be able to clean most spyware from your system.
Using Ad-Aware SE to remove Spyware & Hijackers from Your Computer
Using Spybot - Search & Destroy to remove Spyware from Your Computer
You shoud be running an updated antivirus and a good free firewall (there are several free ones available for download) so this won't happen again.
Free trojan/malware scanner:
a-squared (aČ) Free - a2 is a freeware Anti-Trojan, Anti-Worm, Anti-Dialer and Anti-Spyware (Anti-Malware) Software - best protection

1. update windows
2. run online virus and trojan scans
3. run downloadable spyware scans
4. run a registry cleaner
then if your issues still persist, you can address them individually.
