looking for help on broke x box

my x-box has just started saying that it is unable to read thew disk, it brings up the message that it is unable to read the disk, and i am wondering why. please let me know if therre is ne thng i could do to fix this. thank you. i am not able to use the x box also because of this error, and the cd driver is also not working properly. as it shakes and rattles as it is opening and closes.
