The essentials and making DVDs.

Okay, I'm just inquiring about what stuff would be considered essential on a good PC. By good I mean one with a Pent 3.4 GHz CPU, NVidia GeForceFX 6800, 1 Gig of RAM, 140 GB Hard Drive and DVD/CD Burner. This is what I have so far.
- Mozilla Firefox
- Spybot Search&Destroy
- Ad-Aware
- SiSoftware Sandra
- AIM
- Spyware Blaster
- Azereus
- Bootskin
- Logon Studio
- Photoshop 8.0 CS
- Illustrator CS
- InDesign CS
Also, I need some help on making DVDs. I tried making a DVD that would play on the TV (has three episodes of Naruto on it) and it works, but the image is bigger than the TV screen and some of it is cut off (including the subtitles). How do I fix it so that the video fits onto the screen? By the way, I'm using Sonic MyDVD and the resolution on the Naruto .avi's is 640 x 480, though I don't know how to change that either.
