I have a dell 4700c with P4 3Ghz with HT and radeon x300 card, I have the latest direct x 9c drivers installed. I can see my game pad in controll panel and it is working fine. I need to configure it to work in the game. can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

dont use a game pad.

I'm not sure but I think games have to be specifically designed to work with specific brands of game pads. If this is the case, do you know if the game you're playing supports this gamepad ?

P.S. Ocean, no need to be rude. We're all friends here

I checked both valve and activision site neither had a compatibility list.

Some games just won't support a game pad... and it doesn't look like Doom 3 supports using a game pad yet. I'm not sure about HalfLife 2

it would be freaky hard to play those games with a game pad. pc games for the most part aren't designed for it. i can play really well with a gamepad, and HL2 would be unplayable for me with a gamepad. d3 also. thing jump at you really fast in those games, and you have to catch them in mid air. shooting black head crabs would be almost impossible with a gamepad.

learn how to use a mouse and kb, it sucks at first. but you can do so many more things with a mouse. (you can replace the kb with a "commander" (mini keypad for fps and strategy games) if youd like)
