SQL has slowed me down!!

To enable access to my software from anywhere in the world I was advised to buy the sql version of the application software. There will be 4 users. Since I loaded everything the software seems to take a lot longer to open screens etc and when going off line on lap top its even more slower. I have been advised my hardware spec is sufficient to run sql, so why the slowness? any ideas?? Please.

"Sufficient" and "optimal" are two different things. "Sufficient" means "yes, it will run." "Optimal" means "will run with no signicant degradation in performance."
