GameCube Technical Issue

A friend of mine accidently droped my console. It still works fine and everything runs smoothly. The problem is that the 1st player controller port does not work nor does the reset button. I know it still works because with games such as Super Smash Bros. you can still play using controllers 2, 3 and 4. However I cannot play single player games. Does anybody know what is broken, or unadjusted inside my GameCube? And if so how to fix it? I know I can probably do it myself so how do you dissemble or open the GC? Help is severely appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Heres a tip: Don't open your console up if it is still under warrenty. You void the warrenty, and then Nintendo has the right to revoke your requests for help. If it is not working, and it is still under warrenty, get in contact with Nintendo and get them to fix it for you, or send you a new unit. Fixing it yourself is really not an option, no matter your technical skill.
