i am trying to run one xbox for a dedicated server in counter strike and then play on that server with other xbox,it seems to lag up badly after 10 ppl.i have a microsoft router and i also bought more bandwidth from comcast.so now i have 4mb and 384 upload, yeah, greased lighting, but its still laging.why?everything is coming out of my router, two xboxes and one pc.please someone help?

Well, at an average of around 51KB download per connection there shouldnt be any problems with downstream connections from you, but they tend not to actually matter as much as upload speeds. Can you tell me your upload speed for your connection, as I'm not really sure what you mean by 384.

Anyway, the usual from me: Check your firewall has the needed ports open, and turn off anything such as SPI and encryption techniques that could be preventing your connection from working "properly".

My husband and I have had terrible lag problems whilst running two Xbox Live accounts via router, especially if Halo 2 is running matchmaking on one of them. It renders games like ProEvo or Street Fighter pretty much useless, as timing on these games is vital.

It is very difficult however, to get an ISP who offers more than 256k upstream in the UK without paying a bomb for it.

384kb divided by 8 makes 48KB upload. Divide that by 10, and you have 4.8KB per person, less than that of a dial up connection for each person. You need a faster connection to host a 10 man server with no lag, and it is indeed, very hard to get an ISP that gives you a high upload speed.
