Assuming you are using a 'normal' on-line mail provider (AOL, Yahoo etc), and have the 'deleated mail' Folder set to 'empty on exit', there is no easy way for your to get it back.
Of course your eMail service provider will have copies (just in case they have to produce them for legal reasons) - so if it's totally vital, then contact them ASAP (they won't keep copies for long - after Microsoft was found to have kept eMails for over 10 years and was forced to hand over copies to the court everyone is 'shredding' this stuff as soon as they are legally allowed to).

It totally depends on how you get your email and what you're using to check it.
Most of the time, if you've deleted it, it's gone.
