I have a gateway solo 2500 laptop running on windows 2000 and problem is my screen has gone blank no pic or anything comes up on it and i was wondering if anyone out there might know what is causing it to do it it had been working fine and just all of a sudden started doing it thanks

Hi - dont want 2 b the bearer of bad news, but it does sound as though the motherboard is shot ( fans/HDD/FDD spin all lights come on but nobodys home ehhh? - no boot messages/memory check at all on power up) heard about this problem, this laptops have a serious overheating issue that wrecks the MoBo - i could be wrong - best to check with a pro-tech - but try checking other forums first 4 similar probs - Best of Luck - ChipChimp
