I disagree on his assessment that the Raptors are not much faster than a standard 7200RPM drive. I can bootup into Windows 2000 in about 8 seconds.

wow, tell me the rest of you sys specs.
like 40 seconds for me on a barton 3200+ with fresh win2k on a 7200 drive.
