socom 2 online

I have been trying to log online (socom2ps2) but when ever get so far it says download new version then it has choices download now or download later. I tyied clicking later but that takes u back so i click download now so it downloads and saves then the message says x to restart ps2 so i do it now im back to stage 1 download now or down load later i cant get past it. PLEASE HELP

The only thing I can think of is to make sure you have enough room on your memory card.
If you don't, it will ask you to download the patch again everytime you log on.
If that's not the problem, then I don't know what else to suggest.
