Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

After PSM gave it GOTY, and I saw it at Target for $37, I decided to get it. But is it just me or is this game EXTREMELY F'N HARD? Its been a while since I played an MG game, but Im finding this the most difficult ever.
Is there a training mode at all in the game? Such as the VR? Ive searched for it in the menus but cant find it. I think I need to retrain.

No theres no training, but i didnt think the game was too hard. I just took a few mins in the very beginign to familiarize myself with the controls and had an easy time from then on. I loved the game beat it in about 3 days, 15 hours total game time

yeah, mgs3 was great. i didn't want to stop playing even after i beat it.
as far as the difficulty, i had a hard time getting used to the outdoorsiness of it at first. it's hard to see enemies that could possibly see you, but then i realized it's just a video game and i don't really care if the enemies see me cause ima kill them b**ches. it was fun sneaking around, but i found it to be more fun to just slit all of their throats with my blade.
