It did this before I hacked the s*** out of it. It's got something to do with an auto-update feature and my college's firewall I think.

Anyway, have you tried the mandatory "uninstall/reinstall" procedure?

Of course, it's always done this even before/after reinstalls. How annoying. Maybe I should get the version before the latest, that never did this.
