KVM switches and mouses

I have a very important question? I have two computers hooked through a belkin 2 port KVM switch. On one particular PC after the PC boots up, the mouse is unresponsive. It is installed with the default mouse driver.
I plug the mouse directly to the PC and it works perfectly, I have unplugged and replugged in all the cables and still nothing, what can I do?? PLEASE HELP.

you could have a bad cable, or the switch is bad.
