Hey,

My mother has her eyes on one of those printers that allows you to hook the cameral to the printer and print w/o a PC. My question is, can a camera of one brand print with another brands printer. (We have an HP M307 and she is eyeing a Canon printer)

alot of those printers actually use the memory card/stick that you can just plug into the printer and away you go.

Can recommend one of the Canon printers, CP 330.

very good!

I don't think I phrased the question properly.
Using PictBridge can I print directly from the hp m307 camera to the Canon CP 200?

Sorry, my misstake!

As your mothers camera, support picture bridge, ( see HP M 307 specs).

3.2-megapixel resolution for photo-quality enlargements up to poster size
- 15x total zoom - 3x optical, 5x digital
- 16 MB internal storage memory
- 1.8-inch color, 130K pixels, outdoor viewable image LCD
- USB connectivity (USB 2.0 compatible)
- SD/MMC card slot
- Direct-printing capability to USB-enabled HP Photosmart or Deskjet printers
- Print directly without a PC via the included USB cable to select HP printers or print to
other, PictBridge-enabled printers.
- Exif 2.2 support

I cant see why it should'nt be possible to use the canon printer?

This is what Canon say about the CP 200 Printer:

Ultra-light and compact, the Canon CP-200 Card Photo Printer was made for the things you do and the places you go. Just plug in a select Canon digital camera or PictBridge supported digital camera. In only 85 seconds you can produce crisp, long-lasting 4"x6" color photographs without a computer
