Hey my PS1(old-school, i know) aint workin right. It plays games fine and all, but i cant save. Whenever i put a memory card in, the controller wont work til i take the card out. Anybody know whats up?

I had a problem like this, but without the controller not working part. For me, it was a bad card. It was a cheap 2 pack deal, and neither of them would save any data. It would say that it would, but it actually wouldn't. I just bought a new card and it worked. I don't know if it's the same problem, but you could try it.
