Hi there, iHave a SERIOUS problem, last week my cdromdrive crashed and burned my LOD cd to pieces, so i replaced my drive and bought a new LOD cd......
After that I have reinstalled my windows 98 SE and updated all my drivers for my videocard asus 7700 gf2 dlx
my mobo Abit kt7 raid with an amd thunderbird 1000
etc. etc.
Now when i reinstalled the game and patched it to version 1.09x
I m not able to start the game anymore, the system just crashes!!!!! Does anyone know of this problem and has an solution???? I'm all ears!!!
please this game is to much fun to discard!!!

thanks Soleus

Install order can sometimes mess thijngs up. It's recommended to reinstall video drivers afteer you install the latest directX. Grab it at www.microsoft.com/directx and then install the latest detonator drivers from www.nvidia.com

Also, did you update your VIA chipset drivers? www.viatech.com

You may have already did this stuff, but chances are it's a driver issue if it worked fine before your CD-ROM crashed.

Have you tried any other games to see if they have problems?

I've found another thread, where someone suggested to set the cddrive to slave, and I did and it worked!!!!!!!
So thanks for your support, I'm gaming on ...... finally

Soleus hopes that this is his last message regarding problems with diablo 2!!

See you lator
