My Frozen Throne won't install but i know why

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hey,

I know that there are a lot more of these topics, about warcraft 3 and registry, but
this is a little different. I also have a "non installation" of warcraft 3, and the real Frozen Throne disc. Frozen Throne says when I install that he can't find Reign of Chaos.
I used to have a CD with the registry files, and it worked for me that way. I saw topics about this problem that remained unsolved.
What you guys forgot are two uninstall files, that are put in the Windows directory once you installed Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos. I don't have this CD anymore unfortunately, and that's why my question is:

Has anyone of you the 2 uninstall files in the Windows directory for me? I don't know the names anymore, but i thought it was quite logic.

Thanks in advance

Steven

Ah i got them already, if you still have the problem with not being able to install TFT without a real install of reign of chaos, you can use this zip, regfiles are in it and the 2 uninstall files that you have to put in "X":\Windows" where X is your harddrive name . If you got any questions you can post them here

I tried copyin the reg file + the 2 uninstal files under C:\Windows and it still wouldnt let me install TFT, so i copied all 3 files under the warcraft3 folder and it STILL cant install frozen throne, any ideas please?

You have to double-click the reg file to let it install itself into the registry.

I have double clicked the reg file, but i think i either wrote the wrong paths or something else is not workin. The lines in reg file are like this:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III]
"InstallPath"="C:\\Documents and Settings\\user\\Desktop\\Nak\\Gamez\\Warcraft"
"Program"="C:\\Documents and Settings\\user\\Desktop\\Nak\\Gamez\\Warcraft\\\War3.exe"
"War3CD"="F:\\"

I even tried changin the war3cd= c:documents... warcraft but it still didnt work. Any ideas? =[ I am runnin out.

the "regfile + uninstall files.rar " works man, try this

1) make sure that ur ROC is saved like this c:\Warcraft III
2) Do as mentioned above, that is extracting the files to the windows dir
3) Double click the reg file to install it,and after this it should work, at least it works with me

Good Luck

you must add the registry keys in HKLM\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVErsion\Uninstall or something like that i'm still testin' it, i'll let you know if works,
