My Direct3D is all messed up! Please help!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Computer: Pentium III Processor
Graphics Card: GeForce3 Ti200, downloaded NVIDIA driver 66.93 yesterday
DirectX Version: 9.0c

Here is what it says when I run the Direct3D diagnostic tests:

Direct3D 7 test results: Failure at step 32 (User verification of Direct3D rendering):
HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)

Direct3D 8 test results: Failure at step 32 (User verification of Direct3D rendering):
HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)

Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 32 (User verification of Direct3D rendering):
HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)

For the tests, the spinning cube looks like a cube, but instead of saying DirectX on it,
it just has a bunch of multi-colored lines or flashing pixels. If you can help me,
you will have resurrected my PC-gaming life from the dead! Thank you in advance!

Yours truly,
Apprentice Yery

What you might want to try changing the direct 3D manually to balanced, that might fix it or change everything to default. I noticed that sometimes if you put everything on high you may notice some distortion.

How do I do that, exactly? Thanks!
