Valentine's Day Help

Well, first of all it's been awhile since I've been on here. What's everyone doing for Valentine's Day? That's my problem. I'm not sure what to do. This will be my first Valentine's Day with my new g/f, and I want to do something really special for her, but I'm not sure what. I was wondering if anyone could throw out some ideas. Usually this isn't a problem for me, but this one really deserves something special. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

well, aside from budget, you have to evaluate the gf. does she like the traditional crap? or is she more funky or anti-establishment? for the latter, a nice round of paintball would be preferable to some lame traditional stuff. find something she likes to do, or would like to try, that doesnt involve other people too much. aside ffrom the standard stuff, theres always shopping, hiking, volunteer work, or even major chores like painting the basement.
v day is incredibly overpriced, not to mention overcrowded. so try (with her cooperation) to do any traditional stuff like flowers, chocolate, and dinner a couple days ahead of time.

Take her snipe hunting. That's always a hoot.

how about underwear. thats what im getting my g/f. Lol j/k. I got her a cheap trick signed album off ebay that im sure she'll love. Try untraditional stuff like that along with the flowers. Think outside of the box.

hell, go laser taggin, that sounds like a good couple teamwork thing to do, you can watch each others' backs', I think it'd be a good way to bond more

Buy her a bunch of small gifts (Candy, toys, stuffed animals, flowers, etc) and one really nice gift (If you have been paying attention to her you'll probably know what to get). Set up a scavenger hunt all over the house, campus, town, or whatever you like leading her to each gift. Have a card for her that initiates the hunt with a clue. When she finds each gift there will be another clue. You can be as sentimental/innovative as you want with the locations/clues. Have the last gift at the restaurant/theatre/cruise ship (or whatever event you plan on doing that night). My girlfriend at the time (wife now) loved it when I did this on our first valentines. The only problem is trying to top it the next year.

You're mixing up hunters' bullets and Cupido's arrows http://forum.presence-pc.com/images/perso/kryten.gif

Thanx guys. Those are some pretty great ideas. I'll have to sit back and examine my situation. I know her pretty well as to what she likes, and she can be a simple person. I know she goes nuts when I spend too much money on her. I spent almost $800 on her for Xmas. She threw a fit, but she's never had a nice xmas her entire life, so I gave her one.

uhh red when was the last time YOU played paintball in feb? i been playing up untill 2 weeks ago when we got all this snow, its next to impossible(didnt say impossible just NEXT to impossible, and impractical) to play now for alot of various reasons
but on the v-day shit... does she go for shit like this? most girls around where i live dont go for it(or atleast NEVER have let on) i just normlly got the girl candy lol

she goes for stuff like that. she likes the flowers and candy, as long as she knows I didn't spend more than $30 on her, then she'll throw a fit, and probably hurt me really bad.

Try checking out the local "day spa". See if they have a package deal going on for V-day - facial, nails, backrub, etc. Since your first together make sure there's a teddybear or something of the like as a keep sake. Maybe if you can find one with it's arms crossed it could even be holding the gift cert. for the spa. Another idea is make her dinner and NOT something thats just heated up in the microwave. Candles, vase&rose, wine(if you're old enough), then sit her down and serve her

Buy her a beautiful Baby doll" outfit. That did it for me ages ago. Old Paul
