XBOX settings headache

During our recent move I have missplaced any and all instructions for the kids' XBOX. I actually HAVE some common sense and usually can navigate my way around in these systems simple prompts and cues..
However, somehow parental controls have been locked into thier XBOX so they cannot play most of the games. I have tried to go in and change the code that was placed there mysteriously. I cannot gain access. Please someone help restore peace for me, and blood,weapons, and mayhem for my XBOX addict children. Thankyou!!

Go to the password thing and for password type in x,y,left trigger,x
