Print 2 lines then new page, 2 lines ...

This has probably been asked many times but...
I have a Canon i560 connected to a Dell system with XP Pro loaded. The printer worked fine for several month's. 2 weeks ago I tried to print a web page using Firefox.
Since then, every time I try to print anything from any program the printer will print part of the page then kick it out and print some more on the next page, etc. until it's done with the print job. Sometimes it prints half a page, sometimes just 2 lines.
I have downloaded the latest print driver from Canon. No joy.
