how i get to know about private messages with the help of regsdit

regedit is used to make changes to your computer's registry. it has nothing to do with any instant messenger, other than the registry keys, of course.

1) if you dont know what regedit is, you should NEVER EVER think about touching it!
2) That said, are you talking about using regedit to remove the windows messenger?

Ya, you need to heed Zendu's warning. You can VERY easily render your system unusable. If you just want to look around, use regedt32 and take away your permissions to write to the registry.

if you dont know what your doing i wouldnt even look around.... I consider myself a pretty advanced user, and i tiptoe through that like its a minefield.
