windows 98 reformat

i know how to reformat n such but when i do my computer doesn't let me use all my memory. MY computer overall has 39.2gb memory but only allows me to use 5% which is around 4gb the problem is i need mroe space but am unsure of how to solve it... help is appreciated

Sounds like the Hard Drive is partitioned to me.

are you using Fdisk for partitioning the drive...
when you run Fdisk, it asks to enable or disable the Support for Large Hard Disks...you have to type Y, to enable support for Large Hard Disks...
