Making XP Pro CD with Sp2 in Nero

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Right well my Title subject explains what im trying to do, ive wasted 2 cd's so far doing so, ive extracted the boot image and used in nero burning rom as the image to burn on the cd also, but it gave me a error code 5 when booting from cd.

any help would be helpful.

ps i know this sounds illegal but MS say your allowed to make one copy of your Win cd so i am, but i hate applying Sp1/2 later on, mainly from web, takes too long!

hello?

You're talking about Slipstreaming..

http://www.helpwithwindows.com/Wind...sp2-bootcd.html

http://www.thetechguide.com/articles/slipstream.html

Those will give you an idea of how to make a CD with SP2 already incorporated in it when you install fresh.

You can look up "slipstream" on google or whatever and find lots of info on it.

PS Don't get annoyed that no one responds to your posts after 10 minutes.... give it a day or two for someone with some knowledge on the issue to see it and respond before you complain about not getting help :-D

There are a number of sites that go through step by step, just follow their very thorough instructions and it should be no problem.
