SATA Raid Error Message - noises on startup

When I turn my computer on it starts making noise like a horn or siren. When I get my desk top up there is an error message that says "SATA Raid - IdeDevIoGetDevInfoerror:31"
Can anyone tell me where to find a solution to this?
I have a home made SATA system
AMD Athlon 64 3200
ABit Motherboard KV8-Max3
Memory 1Gb matched
CD Rom Plextor DVDR PX712A
Video Asus Radeon A9200SE 128Mb
Sound Realtek AC'97 Audio For VIA
