the part that really bothers me about this is the "not yet" bit. sounds like its planned for the future however.......

I don't understand how they could impliment this in a public school and have it be constitutional.
mandatory tracking? not very land-of-the-free like...

i would assume as long as it didnt work off school property its legal. the question is whether its a good idea. i vote no.

maybe you should make it a poll.

Courtesy of Homeland Security Act® - or one of its "spin-offs", more like. Not long before it becomes compulsory for each & every civilian citizen, IMO. And yet you sound surprised?

er, no. this is the lame idea of this school board and a private company that is paying them to test this. not that the feds wouldnt like to see something like this implemented.......

wow this is sad, what a mad mad world we live in
i say NO to this whole thing, I agree with that one parent that said "There is a way to make kids safer without making them feel like a piece of inventory"

It doesn't surprise me. This company probably paid them a lot fo money to use the system. Public schools are ALWAYS hurting for money. It's not even funny how many schools get consolidated because of lack of funds. Some kids in this area even have to go on an hour bus ride there and back.
And of course the larger population in such a school also makes putting radio collars on them even more tempting. Soon they'll be shooting kids with tranquilizer darts as they try to scale the fense.

Radio tracking devices... that's pretty ****ed up.
-Drop out of school before your mind rots from exposure to our mediocre educational system. Forget about the senior prom and go to the libary and educate yourself if you’ve got any guts.
