I'm a bit WC3 fan, but kinda ticked at Blizzard's decision to charge $15/month, or whatever the charge is, for their next generation Warcraft adventure (WoW). I've never played AoE since the original years ago came out, and even then played it very little. Do they offer an online multi-player community like Battle.net and, if so, is it any good?

Never really played much online. My roomy and I used to have LAN battles but that was the extent of my AOE internet play. Regardless, imo its the best rts series ever.

I used to dial-up to my friends' computer across town to play against him and computer players on the original game.... that was pretty cool, but never got to experience multi-player on the second game....
