When i try to start Everquest II on my Laptop Windows XP, 3.4ghz Radeon 9000 Graphic card, it crashes and I get the message like D3D error and I need to install latest drivers but also mentions a standard VGA adapter driver?? I have the latest dir X. When I try to install the latest drivers for the graphic card it fails because of something. Could someone guide me through what to do? I'm not that good with computers, what's the deal with this VGA driver adapter??

Did you download the official drivers off the site? And do you get an error for when it fails to update the drivers?

well it doesnt matter now, I uninstalled the drivers(because the E2 site suggested that), and now the graphic card is disabled and runs only vga. And I can't install any drivers, it just says "components not found."
So the drivers was inbuilt and i dont know how to reinstall them..No drivers work, I've downloaded the catalyst drivers from the ATI site for the Mobility Radeon 9000 card, but they cannot be instealled. Does anyone know how I make the machine use the original drivers that came with the computer? Please help. I take it you cannot run Everquest 2 on laptop..

What are your laptop's make and model? I will show you where to get the latest proper drivers for its graphics card on the manufacturer's site. The Catalyst drivers on ATI's site aren't design for laptop graphics cards.
Everquest 2 and other modern 3D games may or may not work with laptop graphics chipsets/drivers; these days game developers don't usually test their games thoroughly with these chipsets/drivers and say "if it doesn't work, we can't help you". Once you get the right drivers installed, most likely the game will run fine.

it's a fujitsu siemens, but I've been at their site, there are no updates or drivers for my
version. Can't even find the original drivers..I guess it just wont work. Anyway how do I get back the original drivers for the chard? since I cannot download them from anywhere..

If you're sure that they're not on the site, they should be on one of the restore CDs or hard disk partitions that came with your computer.
