windows xp PRO problems

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

hey, i recently installed windows xp PRO and had some problems with
it. first problem is that the borders of the game are a bit higher
then the original size, which is fine in windows. i see the text
messages a bit in the side and the first letter is being cut because
it's wider then the screen size. but in windows it's ok so i don't
need to change it in the screen properties.
the second problem is that i can't type "fps" to see my
frames per second or my ping.

anyone had this problem and solved it ?

i have p4 1.7GHZ GF3 Elsa.

thanks.

You are going to need Windows XP drivers from NVidia or Elsa.

I get those when I install winXP don't I ?

If no, where can I d/l them ?
I checked at Elsa site "WINXP" isn't on their drivers list...

Go to the downloads section of Elsa and select your card. See if they actually have Windows XP drivers on the site that are for your video card.

If not, you will have to wait, live with it, or install a different operating system.

Drivers are always installed after the operating system.

Well, the screen problem just means that your monitor isn't configured for your refresh rate. Fiddle with the knobs and buttons on your monitor, and if that fails, change your refresh rate in windows.
