My sound works perfectly untill i launch the game, then it doesnt work at all, i get this message from dxdiag Error:Problem getting extra sound info, result code = 0x80004005 (Generic failure) and also DirectSound test results: Failure at step 3 (DirectSoundCreate): HRESULT = 0x80004005 (Generic failure)
Can anybody help me, ive tryed everything
i have the latest patches, version of direct x and ive tried everything suggested by activision

Click Start, click Run, type dxdiag in the box and click OK. Click the Sound tab, run the tests again, then click Save All Information at the bottom. Post the contents of the text file that is saved and we'll see if there are any clues there.
