I can't host and I don't understand computers

Ok, heres how it is
I have yahoo dsl,
no firewall
but i don't know what my router is so can you help me?
Also when i typed in my password when i typed in my ip address, it says i was unauthorized. i don't know my username but the default was admin and i tried that but it didn't work.. please help.
also how do you find your username

To find out what kind of router you have (if you even have one), ask someone in your home who knows or find the router itself and look at it. If you have a router, we won't be able to help you without knowing its make and model.
