Need help replacing my laptop keyboard

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I purchased a replacement keyboard from Sony directly and when they sent me the keyboard they did not include any instructions whatsoever. Could anyone out there PLEASE help me with instructions on how to take my old keyboard out of the laptop and put the new one in . It seems insanse that I just purchased this keyboard for $75 and they would not give me the instructions.

A diagram was sent but no instructions. I have a PCG-GRT100. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi !

Here is a link that explains how you do it on a Sony VAIO.( with pictures.)
It should be pretty much the same.

It's orginally an instruction, how you replace the harddrive. But some day you maybe will do that too?
And then you also know how to do that.
"2 for the price of one" sort of say.

This site is awesome, however the screw location on that laptop do not match up with my laptop. I have some screws on the bottom of the laptop that slightly loosens the case but does not lift up significantly enough for me to remove my keyboard.

Anyone by chance have a picture they can send me of a pcg-grt100 laptop and the screw location of what I need to remove or loosen to replace this.

Once again, thank you so much for everyone's assistance.

Hi again!

Take a look at the sides of the laptop, about where the F1 - F 12 keys are located. There should be a couple of small screws there, that you should loosen.

I have googled my self silly, trying to find : layout, servicemanual an sutch, but no luck.
This tip above, I found in a forum for another sony model .
But take a look anyway?
