Missing Click Sound in Internet Explorer

I am running Windows ME, and one day, the click sound that usually sounds when I click on links within Internet Explorer just disappeared. I have searched EVERYWHERE for a resolution and have found none. Can anyone help?

Could be you lost your sound scheme. Go into Control Panel and open up the Sound settings panel. In there you should find the sound scheme menu, select windows default for the scheme.
