I have a very wierd problem. Almost all the DVD's that i play on my Fujitsu c2111 laptop work fine. However, NONE of my application CD's or audio CD's play.

The CDRW-DVD drive shows no disk when i put an application or a music CD on it. However, I was able to open a CD which had some data burnt in it.

The device manager says that the device is working properly. I can't understand this problem at all.....

Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Hi!

Try this registry repair software.
unfortunatly, there are no such freeware, so if you got more than 15 faults after the scan. You will have to rescan, repair 15 again etc.

Many people are not aware of the fact, that Windows, mess up the registry quite often.
And if you have'nt got a registry repair software, you are litterary sitting on a "time bomb" in Windows.

Pity, that sutch a repair program is'nt included in Windows.

For ex. I scan my registry 2 - 3 times a week, and still can have about 60 faults!

Also try a lens cleaner cd.
