I am running the latest version of Windows XP with all updates installed. I purchased Sid Meier's Pirates-Live the Life and installed it. It runs for awhile and then crashes...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! tech support is given on their website. Anybody have any suggestions.

Does it crash with an error message? If so, what's the exact error message?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game?

Is your computer good enough to run the game? What kind of video card do you have? How much RAM? How fast of a processor do you have?

I've got a brand new Athlon Something-or-other (2.1GHz, 512MB RAM, all the usual bells & whistles) and I've loaded Pirates, uninstalled it, and reloaded it... every time I start playing, once I get past the "select nationality" and opening scenes, it crashes in between 0 and 5 seconds.
