Video card suitible?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Does anyone have a good recommendation of a video card that has 128mb and around $100-150 (Or 200 max) canadian? And will the card overheat in a 15.5 x 14 x 7 (Inches and L x H x W) case?

Thanks, Whatsthis

Hi!

Well, Newegg have for instance a MSI Radeon 9550 SE . 128 mb for 66 USD

http://www.newegg.com/app/manufact....talog=48&DEPA=0

That depends on what temps you got now?

A tip, is to get a Akasa slot fan or any slotfan and put it next to the Videocard.

Arent Second Editions normally defective original copies, then tweaked so its slower?
Or so the rumor says

Im not sure what temp I got.

I think " SE" in this case means "Special edition"
I gave you the wrong figure for the card. It should be 59 USD.
Sorry for that!

Download Motherboard monitor 5 and take a look at Case temp at the dashboard of MBM5.

Posted by: Whatsthis

Wha?

Posted by: Whatsthis

oh OH Sorry I forgot what it was, its that thing on the motherboard to plug in the cards right?

A standard Motherboard have a AGP port, ( Accelerated graphic port) where you put your Video card.

If it is a really old board, that does'nt have AGP, you will have to get a PCI videocard.

PCI express, is the latest thing. Where you can use a PCI Express Videocard with 16 X speed.
But to be able to use sutch a card, you will have to get a PCI Express motherboard.

The X300, that you can see listed on that card you choosed, is the low end PCI express video card.
the bigger This ...X number is, the better! So, a 800X is the best one.

Would like to add, that if you can't find out what kind of videocard port you got?

You can download the small software CPU Z. It will tell you, wich model and so on your motherboard is?
Then, when you know. Just go to the manufaturers home site and look at the specification for your board.
There you will find all the technical stuff about your motherboard.
