Wot Radeon?

Hey guys!
I have a question, I know you guys, will love to sink your teeth into!
A friend of mine is in for buying a ATI Radeon of some kind.
For the moment, he have a AOpen FX 5750 Video Card, 128MB.
Wich of these ATI:s would you go for?
9600 XT
9600 Pro
9700 Pro
9800
9800 SE
This is if you think performance, contra price + my friends Geforce card?
As I myself, dont know THAT much about ATI cards..
I leave this up to you.

id tell him to stick with the 5750 if he doesnt want to upgrade to the 6000 or radeon x series, unless something is actually wrong with the card. hes not going to see a major increase in performance most likely.
a 9800 pro or xt would be the best choice from the 9000 series. 9700 pro if he insists on one on that list.

i wouldnt think that it would be quite worth the upgrade! I dont think there will be that great of a performance increase....They are all of the same generation and about the same level!

Well, reading, what you guys say, I will try to convince him, to put his money on some new games instead. lol.
Sacred Underworld, expansion pac is comming in april, for instance.

You forgot all about the Radeon 9800 Pro. I have one and I love it! With a good system surrounding it, it can't be beat for the money imho

Hi!
Well I did'nt actally forget it.
But unfortunatly it's still expensive here in SWE.
The price on the 9800 pro, have'nt been affected as much as I belived it would be, of the arrival of PCI express.
But, I totally agree about that 9800 pro is the top AGP card.
