Digital camera and external HDD

Hey guys!
I wonder if there is any way to empty your digital cameras flashcard, directly into a external HDD? I.e. a 3.5 HDD in a external cabinet?

if you have a reader, including the camera, you should be able to just drag the files over. you will need a computer between the two however

O.K. I kinda hoped that the cameras electronics would be able to do this, without having the pc between them. Just using some kind of cable.

why on earth would you be toting around a camera, a crap load of cables, a hard drive, and 2 power supplies?
