Recently I purchased a 120 gig hard drive .All of my data is on my 60 gig drive though. When I try to move programs from the 60 gig to the 120 ,Windows informs me that "some programs may no longer work" which is excactly what happened when I moved Half-Life 2 .My question is ,How do you move data and programs that are listed in the start menu without screwing up everything? Is this possible or do i need to reinstall all my games? If this is possible what do i do about my registry or is it fine?

moving programs is tricky, and not recommended. youll save yourself more grief and time by reinstalling the ones that dont readily work than by trying to fiddle with the registry. or just leave the drive installed as a slave, most will still work. data copies without a problem, btw.

important programs should never be copied, they definitely wont work.
