Hey all,
I've decided to completely reinstall Windows XP, because of many reasons. (please, don't try to talk me out of doing this.  ) I am working on an Inspiron 5150 notebook computer, which I have an external 80 gb hard drive connected to. (this is how I backup everything as well as storing other stuff) I have backed up all my files, plus my e-mail, bookmarks from firefox, but I would like to know if it possible to backup the settings and preferences for the following programs.
Adobe Photoshop 7.0
Adobe Illustrator CS
Macromedia Dreamweaver 6.1 MX
Macromedia Fireworks 6.1 MX
Macromedia Flash 6.1 MX
Macromedia Freehand 6.1 MX
Trillian
Winamp
WS_FTP Professional
Microsoft Office 2003 Professional, including FP.
OpenOffice
Another question is, how well does the Files and Settings Transfer program work?

i have never even messed iwth that wizard...i have done everything by hand...you can transfer all hte settings for the programs but you have to find out what file is storing the preferences.

Yeah, I've always done things by hand as well, but I'm getting tired of reconfiguring things.
