Spyware problem

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

For some reason i keep getting the same thing everytime i scan my computer for spyware. Is there anyway of permanantly removing the spyware? Also i had to use IE the other day because something wouldn't load on firefox and my IE homepage was about.blank... This further caused me to suspect unremovable spyware.

Anyone have any solutions?

those are cookies. the only way that i know is to block cookies from that site. each time you go to that site it just sets a new tracking cookie. in IE its under internet options-privacy-sites- and add the site in question and select block. or you can just not go to that site...

if you have service pack 2 you can go into the firwall and config all the setting with cookies, pop-ups, etc. and it's usually pretty good. but i wouldn't set the firewall past medium on any of the settings, because it won't allow (i think) third party cookies which are required to sign on more secure sites like your bank account.

but if everythings turned on and set at medium at least then i don't know......

you keep getting tracking cookies because you have third party cookies enabled. turn it off.

about:blank results from a browser hijacker that has been removed. just reset the homepage.

on a side note, cropping is your friend.

It looks like a virus or something to me... and what the hell do you mean by cropping?

Hello

Well, cropping is making the picture smaller, and cutting out a section of it, but i think it was ok picture, when i post pictures on here they never show, you have to download them then look at them.

I dont know how to do that lol, anyway what will happen if i lock down internet explorer and put privacy at the highest? Will it effect anything else?

Hello

Also to get a smaller picture you could lower the resolution from 1280 x 1024 to 800 x 600, then take a snap shot of the screen. it up to you anyway.

Andrew

cropping means to remove extraneous material from an image. you really need to learn how to do it.

it could be a virus, trojan, spyware, adware, worm, etc. it could also be some part of a program you have installed. why are you guessing though? there are many different free scans for all types of malware that will tell you if thats what it is.
