Serv U FTP

Hello all,
could anyone please help me with a Serv-U FTP problem. My problem is that it wont work!!!!!!
So can anyone run me through what I have to do to get it to work i.e.
1) Do you create a new server or use the local host.
2) I am using a belkin 4 port router and I am in the DMZ.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
