I've installed this game and it keeps shutting down my computer whenever I play it. I'm in the middle of a game and POW the machine shut down. There are no issues with requirements or drivers. There are also no issues with disabling virus detection software or any of the other "Background Tasks" that the manufacturer recommends be turned off.
I've uninstalled the game twice and reinstalled it only to have the same experience. The Computer shuts down in the middle of playing. I've also tried contacting EA Sports but the e-mail address given for technical support does not work. The online technical support does not adequately address my problem. You guys and gals are my only hope. I'm looking forward to your responses. Thanks in advance. Louis

Could it be an overheating problem. Also, does your system barely meet the reqirements or does it well exceed them?

Hi mate,
Can't help solve the problem, just like to reassure you that you're not alone.
I currently have similar issues and have yet to resolve them. Trying the latest advice from EA helpdesk tonight.
How can they sell a game these days that erquires you to disable all start up programs, disconnect from the net, disable anti-aliasing etc. ? It's a disgrace and I shall be telling them so. I mean, if it made the game run slow or whatever then fair enough but to make it just crash to dektop or reboot the pc then it's clearly not fit for the purpose.
I have HL2 and FarCry that both run fine whatever I've got in start up etc. etc.
My system spec: Thermaltake XaserIII case (7 case fans), P4 3.0 running totally stable @ 3.6 using the oc facility in bios of my ASUS P4S800 mobo, Radeon X800XT, 1GB 550MHz RAM. Processor runs @ 32 deg. C under load.

Most sutch problems, are related to the Exe.file. Try a " NO CD" exe. Just make sure to download the correct version. And virus scan the zipfile, before you open it.

I'll try that, thanks. Any suggestions where I would get it? and what do you mean get the right one?

Just Google for it. And I mean, the correct file version for the game version. All games, are in different versions, depending on if they are sold in US or in Europe for ex. Consult the manual or gamebox

Thanks, sorry for being thick! I think I have the correct file, will try it tonight when I get home.
