and to an equal degree, BF1942.

Stay awhile and listen, as I regale you with the tales of my adventure.

Exiting my slave labor complex of employ, I proceed directly to the nearest branch of my bank, in order to follow up on the financial debuggery involving the company Darky and, to a lesser degree myself, were dealing with in regards to darkintellect.com

Alas, that branch is closed on saturdays. Undaunted, I proceed to the branch closest to home, which is open until 6 PM on saturdays.

Now, for this next part, I must describe the layout of the city. There is no North/South highway, merely two one way streets that serve the purpose. Which is to say, they're busy as biscuits.

Now, I know that if I'm going to make a left turn at the light on the next intersection, I'm gonna get shafted by the line of cars that builds up on each red. Instead, the pimp way of doing things is to take the street just before - as the cars build up for the red light, traffic stops just long enough to slip through.

So I do this, swing a left out of the northbound one-way (the light up there has been green for too long) and onto a side street. About thirty yards ahead is the stop sign intersecting the southbound one-way.

Gradually slowing down for it, I suddenly find my brakes being much more difficult to press, and away we go, sliding right into the traffic.

Suddenly, this ain't city driving no more. No sir.

Suddenly I've got the flag and there's six spitfires and a B17 in the air, a hijacked stuka on my tail and god knows what sort of battallion firing shells in my direction.

Suddenly I've got five stars and two FBI vans on my case, and I haven't saved in a while so if I get wasted it means reloading and losing all of those special things I just picked up.

Force flowing through me, I manage to avoid the first lane and end up T-boning a blue hyundai in the middle lane. But it ain't over yet, no sir. Rush hour on a saturday and I'm still in the middle lane? Hardly over. Airbags deafening all of the honking, I'm six inches from our flag and there's no way this jackass in the Illy is gonna stop me from saving the day.

Cutting the wheels to the right I manage to pull a one eighty around a red ford truck of some type, finally coming to rest on the curb on the opposite end of the intersection, facing the southbound one-way.

Bailing out of the car I've got my mobile in hand, dashing over to the hyundai to see if there's any bodily harm as I'm explaining the situation to the fuzz.

Luckily no one was injured, although my car is likely not gonna be saved by a Pay and Spray.

My life is a bubble of joy.

I admit it... I hacked in your car so that's why the brakes were much harder to press... I'M SORRY!

HA! you would

...sorry, I have no idea where that came from.

but yes, defensive driving/piloting tactics learn and earned through hours of videogaming has saved me on more than one occasion. gran tourismo 3 being cheif amongst my ability to handle the poorly tuned and high out of legal spec alignment/steering/braking/etc on me rustbucket blazer, and also saved my ass during on occasion much like the one described. except that it was our car that was tboned and nearly forced into a building/oncoming traffic...

i bet you do...

that was in reference to bix....

also since im editing... if it matters i learned to drive from playing car video games...

If I would drive a car like in the video games... I'm not sure if the car would last longer than about 25 seconds

You wouldn't want to know how many computers you can find in a man's brake all connected to the internet and by using my hacking skills (That I don't... really... have...) I hacked into his car!

Natural-selection, as some of you might know, is a game where you have to listen to every sound and have SEVERE situational awareness if you expect to live very long. That said i was driving down a busy street the other day and i heard the mini van next to me rev up a litle bit (over the incredibly loud techno, with the windows up i might add) Not sure what was going on i braked a little bit, and low and behold the damn van pulled out in front of me! no signil nothing, coming within a foot of my front bumper.

On a more nerdy note, i found myself using alignment knowledge from DnD to argue a point in philosphy the other day.

Considering we all agree we can learn from video games, maybe i should start up dating sims.....

Negative side of video gaming! One day after like 12 freaking hours of playing The Getaway, a british GTA (better than it sounds) my friend drove us somewhere, and turned into the oncoming lane. I was in the front seat and didnt say anything because i didnt think it was wierd at all. Luckly observent people in the back noticed :/
