what is this Please Check PC Display Settings

I just installed Warcraft III and everytime I try to play it something goes wrong. I can watch the intro movies but after that my monitor makes a click sound and then a blue box comes up and it says "Please Check PC Display Settings" I've tried lowering my resolution and lowering the number of colors my pc uses. What is the problem? Very Frustrating! Please help me. Thanks.
