Mandrake Linux help

i installed mandrake linux vers 10.1 today and it installed fine, the problem is that when i select to go onto linux, it goes to a kinda command prompt screen instead of the proper OS, does any one know why?

you are going to have to change the runlevel from command to graphic login. it is the proper os, just not the x-window system.

ok, how do i do this, i was told that putting "startx" in the command but that didnt help,

i have no idea how you do that. i once do, but not any more. i'm too spoiled using windows and YaST
