This thread is dedicated to the awesomeness of OTS but also to answer a question of mine. I remember when I first joined the site, I read up on material for using the forums and whatnot. By now, over a year of use, I am still learning certain things and would like to refresh my knowledge on certain things, such as what ranks there are, vB code statements, how to become moderator, etc. I searched the FAQs but was not able to find a starter's guide or similar. Can anyone direct me to a page on OTS that explains everything newcomer style?
And if you would like to mention how cool OTS is or how it saved your life once or twice, don't hesitate to do so.

Moderators are hand-picked by the administrator (Canis Lupus), and only when he needs them. As long as things are running smoothly, there's no need for more moderators.
About the vb codes, when you're making a reply, just click some of the buttons on top and see how they affect your post. After a while, you'll know the codes for everything you'll frequently use. As far as I know, there are no hidden vb codes.
Hope that clears things up a little. Anything else you'd like to know?

Naw, I think that's about it. I had one other question about the site when writing my first post I didn't mention, but I forgot what it was. Dammit...
