Invalid Block Address @ Nero 6
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)
Posted by: Arek Dualblade
Hello,
I've been having a problem burning CDs, lately. Nero always gives the message "Burn process failed" sometime between 4 and 10 minutes into the burn. As a reason, it reads "Invalid block address". I haven't changed any of the settings with which I've been burning CDs, for a long time, successfully.
At the bottom, I have attached the log file I saved after the last time it failed me.
My computer is a 2002 HP laptop, with original factory settings and parts, without any other major problems. Like I said, the CD burning hasn't failed me ever since I started using Nero.
Please let me know anything you have to say about this. Thank you.
Arek

There are problems with overburning (burning more data onto a disc than it supports) in Nero Burning software using certain brands of burners (Pioneer DVR-108 is one very common one; check if you have it). Are you only getting this error when overburning?

It looks to me like you don't have enough room on your hard drive to make the image of what you want burned.

or youre running out of ram. you dont have a whole lot to start with, much less free.

I want to thank you all for your help with this (to me) confusing issue. I really appreciate it. Love the fact that so many people freely give their time to helping out others.
As for my problem, it seems to have fixed itself. I didn't get around to trying out any of your suggestions for a couple of days. Then, I looked at all the properties and ran all the diagnostics that I could on my drive. It passed everything.
I was puzzled to discover that my Nero Burning Rom can't do simulation runs. The box is blocked out and I looked everywhere for the option to turn it on. Then, I did what I would never have expected to help: I went into Nero Xpress - that novice utility. Set up a simulation run - it worked; set up a burn - worked like it never had a problem!
That's all, for now... Once again, thank you all for the support! Have a great day, you guys!
