serv-u permissions

I am a newbie to ftp sites. I set up a server to accept incoming images from a webcam every 15 minutes and archive them. The camera writes a *.tmp file and then it gets renamed to a *.jpg file when the transfer is complete. In order for this process to work correctly I needed to turn on all permissions, except execute. This all works great but if someone wanted to they could delete all the files in the image subdirectory. Is there workaround to this problem?

Thanks in advance

You should only have to enable Write permissions for the Owner category. I don't see why you would need to enable it for anything else. Try just setting the permissions to 755 or 711.
